The average gym workout averages 1 to 1.5 hours per session. To see and feel results, training is required three times per week, which adds up to 3 hours or more. This amount of time is the leader not possible for many people. At our SpeedFit studios in Perth, you only need 20 minutes per week to get the same results as 3×90 minutes of a general weights workout. The bottom line: you will save masses of time – and achieve, or even exceed your fitness goals. We admit that at first the figures are hard to believe, however, not only are they backed up by solid scientific research, but once you experience the method for yourself, you will certainly believe it!

EMS personal training at SpeedFit, Perth is a full body activity; targeting several muscle groups. Training is always under the guidance of a qualified personal trainer who will activate each muscle according to your needs. Another essential difference is that the SpeedFit EMS device is the ability to stimulate both the agonist and antagonist simultaneously. Subsequently, activation of 90% of the whole muscle loop and deeper muscle tissues is possible, compared to a conventional TELE-EMS machine, or a conventional workout at the gym. Electro Muscular Stimulation (EMS) is a form of stimulating muscles using light, painless, electric impulses. Just as our central nervous system sends electrical impulses to control our muscle action, EMS replicates this natural process, sending electrical impulses to muscles for the purpose of strength training and fitness. However, with Electro Muscular Stimulation, the process can be intensified, reaching deeper muscle layers which are difficult to activate through conventional exercise.

To achieve this, EMS electrodes are applied to the skin, directly above the muscle. EMS is a selective intensification of electrical stimuli from an external force. The best results can be gained when exercising actively while using the device. Muscles are additionally stimulated through the electrodes while performing a series of low impact exercises. The combination of these two activities leads to an additional increase of muscle contraction, producing highly effective training results. Your SpeedFit personal trainer will use their professional expertise to control each muscle group by adjusting the training intensity, according to your individual needs. With EMS, visible and tangible results can be achieved in a very short period of time.

We recommend light cardio activities like walking, jogging, swimming or cycling, and regular stretching. Nutrition – Drink plenty of water, up your intake of proteins & good fats & reduce sugar intake (sugar = inflammation). Sleep – 7-8 hours of sleep would be ideal to allow your body sufficient recovery time. Activities – stretching exercises & light cardio activities could be great for active recovery

It is common to experience muscle fatigue immediately after the session, and muscle soreness from around 24 hours, and peaking at around 48 hours after the workout.

Expect to have fun while you’re being guided through your workout by one of our friendly instructors. Enjoy a pre-workout isotonic electrolyte drink and a post-workout protein shake to aid your recovery.

Your last meal should be eaten 2-3 hours before training so you have sufficient energy for the workout. Try to drink at least 300ml water about 30-45 minutes before the training session to ensure you are sufficiently hydrated. Arrive 10 minutes before your booking time to allow time to change and get ready.
